Birdos is a rider owned and founded company. The skis we create are designed and built by passionate skiers who love their work. Our workers spend as many days on the snow and in the mountains as they do in the workshop, and this is important to us. We know what it takes to make the finest skis, and this attention to detail shows through in the finished product. Birdos skis are built from the highest quality materials; you won't find upgrades at an additional cost, all our skis are the best we can build with no compromise. We source our supplies as locally as possible. The wood in the cores is a local species, harvested nearby and locally fabricated into the core blocks. The steel edges come from a mill just over the Swiss border that has been producing for the ski industry for 50+ years. We believe that by keeping the production as local as possible we can make a positive difference in our future.
We operate from our small workshop nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Outside our workshop door lies some of the best freeride skiing in the world. Five minutes walking brings us to the cable car, and 1400 meters vertical of untamed terrain. It is here in the mountains where we get our inspirations and ideas to design and produce our skis. Our designs are being constantly tested and refined by all kinds of skiers. Freeride, Telemark, BC Jibbing, Ski Touring, Ski Mountaineering, we do it all with the skis we build.
